Today, many famous people are practicing numerology. They use it to interpret personality traits and life situations, and to predict the future.
Elvis Presley was a strong advocate of numerology, ande he popularized it among his friends and other celebrities.
In his later years, he repeatedly made decisions based on numbers, especially threes and sevens. It is also interesting to note that in all his films appear the numbers that add up to 24.
In the last part of his life, Elvis Presley was very much interested in spirituality. On two pages of a note dated the 6th of August 1977, we see a combination of numerological notes and Elvis's attempts to decipher the hidden meaning in the composition of words in order to explain their spiritual meaning. He wrote these two pages when discussing numerology with his fiancée, Ginger Alden, and her sister (personal archive of Ginger Alden).
John Lennon was fascinated by the number 9; two of his songs are entitled Revolution 9 and Number 9 Dream.

The number 24 plays an important role in the life of singer and actress Barbra Streisand, and she believes it is her lucky number.
She was born on the April 24, 1942, and gave birth to a son at the age of 24.
On February 24, 1987, she won a Grammy for Best Pop Singer for The Broadway Album - her 24th studio album.
And that was 24 years after she won her first Grammy - in 1963 for The Barbra Streisand Album.
But that's not all! At the Grammy Awards in 1987, she jokingly told the audience that they might see each other again in 24 years. In 2011, this actually happened - she didn't win that year, but she was again among the nominees for Best Traditional Pop Album with Love Is the Answer.
It is also interesting to note that Barbra Streisand changed her name from Barbara to Barbra when she was 18. According to her, she wanted to be unique and did not like her name, but she also did not want to change it completely because it seemed unnatural. She came up with the idea that she could just take the letter a out of her name and still be Barbara, but with a unique name. It is not uncommon for artists to change their name on the advice of a numerologist or instinctively to better reflect who they are, and this helps them on their way to success.
Musician Yusuf Islam, when he was still known as Cat Stevens, was seriously studying numerology and in 1975 he released the concept album Numbers, subtitled "A Pythagorean Theory Tale".
The famous musician Prince was also known for his belief in the power of numbers. Interestingly, he was obsessed with the number 3121. He never explained it himself, but it may have something to do with the address of his rented house in Los Angeles. In 2006, Prince was sued by the owner of the property for breaching the lease by "painting the exterior of the house with purple stripes (Prince's symbol) and the numbers 3121".
Prince also used these four numbers for his 2006 album 3121, for his website www.3121.com and even for his own perfume, which he launched at his Purple Will Reign charity concert on July 7, 2007. In 2007, he set the price for tickets for his Earth Tour at £31.21.
Lucille Ball, an elderly American actress and comedian, was seriously involved in numerology, astrology and esoterics.
For example, the star of I Love Lucy, one of the most popular TV comedy series of all time, was convinced that the letters A and R, as in "Arnaz" and "Ricardo" (her first husband's real and movie surnames), bring good luck.
When Lucille Ball married her second husband, Gary Morton, on November 19, 1961, and they received their marriage certificate, she immediately did a little numerological analysis. She immediately called him and found out that Attenborough did indeed have a ticket for the plane that had crashed into the snow-covered mountain, but fortunately he had been forced to cancel the flight.
We don't know if actress Eva Longoria is also practicing numerology, but it is known that the famous "desperate housewife" had rushed her marriage to Tony Parker in 2007 to fall on the 7th of July (07/07/07), thus catching the "trio of lucky sevens".
British photomodel, singer and actress Agyness Deyn, born Laura Hollins, has coined her new name to make her photomodelling career easier. She consulted her mother's numerologist friend, who advised her on the best version of Agnes, her grandmother's name, and Dean, her family's old surname.
After the name change, Deyn, who until then had still worked in a local fast food restaurant, soon became the star of the London and Paris catwalks.
In fact, she didn't change anything else at the time; she stayed with the same agency and kept her hair and her look, but everything in her life changed overnight.
Among the athletes who use numerology is the Danish boxer Johnny Bredahl, who was WBA Bantamweight World Champion from 2002 to 2004.

It is also interesting to note that in 2002 Bredahl's promoter Bettina Palle agreed to organise a fight between Bredahl and Gamez at the Falconer Centret in the centre of Copenhagen, and not at the Brondby Hall in the suburbs as originally planned. This is because Bredahl was advised by his numerologist that he had a better chance of winning at the Falconer Centret …
Some claim that Cuban communist leader Fidel Castro was also a follower of numerology, and that he gave special importance to the number 13 and its multiples. He is said to have stated that he was born on August 13, 1926, dictator Batista took power in '52 (26 + 26), and Castro carried out the attack on the Moncada barracks (celebrated by Cubans as the beginning of the Cuban Revolution) on July 26, 1953, at the age of 26 …
Castro also gave up the presidency of Cuba after exactly 49 years (4 + 9 = 13) and 49 days.
Another notorious statesman who used numerology is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, former president of Iran. Numerology is an integral part of Shi'a Islam and Ahmadinejad is said to have regularly checked the numbers when making his political decisions.
Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari, whose late wife Benazir Bhutto was twice elected Prime Minister of Pakistan, apparently also believed in numerology. Zardari decided to take the oath of office as President on 9/9/2008 because the number 9 was very important in his late wife's life.
They were married on December 18, 1987 (18 = 1 + 8 = 9). Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan after nine years in exile on October 18, 2007, and was killed on December 27, 2007 (27 = 2 + 7 = 9).
The Pakistan People's Party, led by Asif Ali Zardari, won the elections on February 18, 2008, and the previous President, Pervez Musharraf, resigned on August 18, 2008.
