Challenge Numbers are three numerology numbers that describe our main life lessons that we must attend to.
In order to inspire and help us, life will place us in situations that require the specific characteristics of our Challenge numbers.
The Challenge number zero presents no particular challenge, but this does not mean that you should rest on your laurels. It just gives you a choice of what to work on. During your youth you may be tempted to coast through life, but if you choose instead to work on any problems in your character, you can become truly great. It’s possible that you might need some practice in making choices and then acting upon them. Generally, however, you are evolved enough to be conscious of whatever shortcomings you have, and to deal with them one at a time. Becoming the kind of person you know you could be is the most difficult of challenges, but you are capable of meeting it.
The First Minor Challenge usually crops up early in life. When its number is 1, this usually means that you must fight to overcome a sense of being held down by those with stronger wills. To meet this challenge, you must learn to assert your independence and discover your own individuality, while at the same time respecting the rights of others. It’s important not to get caught up in merely pleasing others, and in a dignified way to assert your right to have your needs met and to determine the course of your own life. When you grow older, you’ll then be able to let others have their rights, too.
The First Minor Challenge usually crops up early in life. When its number is 2, you may be painfully timid, thin-skinned, and sensitive to the slightest hurts from others. Your challenge here is to maintain your remarkable sensitivity to feelings and vibrations, but not feel personally hurt or threatened. Remember that when others are cruel it comes from their own unhappiness and really has nothing to do with who you are. Cooperation with others may be a major theme in your life, and an additional challenge with this number is to learn to work with others without either leaning on them or trying to dominate the situation.
The First Minor Challenge usually crops up early in life. When its number is 3, you will feel impeded until you learn to overcome the barriers to the free expression of your natural talents. You may need to overcome shyness and learn to express yourself clearly. Once you learn to relax with people, you may exhibit an unusual facility for expressing yourself in conversation and lending life and enjoyment to social situations. You should seize every opportunity to realize your creative potential, taking lessons when you can and letting enjoyment of what you are doing break down any barriers to your spontaneity.
The First Minor Challenge usually crops up early in life. When its number is 4, you will need to learn how to work effectively before you can do much else in the world. In youth, the lesson is usually to learn to settle down and concentrate. Later on, it is often to avoid becoming a “grind” and letting work take over your whole life. The challenge, anyway, is to give work its proper place, and learn a balance between work and play.
The First Minor Challenge usually crops up early in life. When its number is 5, you need to learn the correct use of freedom. When you are young, your main challenge may be to overcome an appetite for the exciting and dangerous, and learn to be enterprising and adventurous without putting yourself and others at risk. Restless and wild, you may need to learn to settle down and apply yourself. Alternatively, life may present you with great, disrupting changes, and you may need to relax your white-knuckled grip and learn to ride the waves gracefully. Once learned, this is a rare skill that will enable you to project a vibrant energy that enhances the world around you.
The First Minor Challenge usually crops up early in life. When its number is 6, you may need to learn to shoulder responsibilities beyond your years. In doing so, you may develop a certain rigidity and intolerance, and possibly an air of self-righteousness. Your challenge, then, will be to learn to serve others while accepting them just as they are, to serve not just their material needs, but to honor their need to be themselves and do things their own way. When you have met this challenge, you will have also granted freedom to yourself..
The First Minor Challenge usually crops up early in life. When its number is 7, you may feel very much alone and cut off from your peers. So much of your energy may be turned inward that there is none available in your conscious life and you may feel quite depressed. To feel more comfortable and connected, you must learn to direct your energies outward and to express your own feelings and ideas to others. Getting a good education will help you develop your analytical powers and put this 7 vibration to good use. When you overcome your reserve and feel more at home in the outside world, you will find that others have much to gain from your deep thought and rich inner life.
The First Minor Challenge usually crops up early in life. When its number is 8, you may grow up with the mistaken idea that money and power are what make a person worth while. If so, your peers may give you painful lessons about what is truly important in life. Alternatively, you may disdain people simply because they are rich or prominent. Either way, your challenge is to learn the true place of power, financial and otherwise, in the total scheme of things. The lesson is to know when there is enough, and to know that outward trappings are not the same as true personal worth.
